PDFLayoutTextStripper · Converts a pdf file into a text file while keeping the layout of the original pdf. Useful to extract the content from a table in a pdf file for instance. This is a subclass of PDFTextStripper class (from the Apache PDFBox library).

How to open Javadoc JAR file in web browser

  1. Rename the file PDFLayoutTextStripper-2.2.4-javadoc.jar to PDFLayoutTextStripper-2.2.4-javadoc.zip
  2. Use your favourite unzip tool (WinRAR / WinZIP) to extract it, now you have a folder PDFLayoutTextStripper-2.2.4-javadoc
  3. Double click index.html will open the index page on your default web browser.

How to generate Javadoc from a source JAR?

Running the command javadoc:

javadoc --ignore-source-errors -encoding UTF-8 -sourcepath "PDFLayoutTextStripper-2.2.4-sources.jar" -d "PDFLayoutTextStripper-2.2.4-javadoc" -subpackages
