class-file-format-rule · A maven-enforcer rule that ensures dependencies do not exceed the required class file format required by the JVM. In other words, if your project must support an older version of Java - this rule will ensure your dependencies are able to run in the older JVM.

How to open Javadoc JAR file in web browser

Rename the file class-file-format-rule-2.0.0-javadoc.jar to class-file-format-rule-2.0.0-javadoc.zip
Use your favourite unzip tool (WinRAR / WinZIP) to extract it, now you have a folder class-file-format-rule-2.0.0-javadoc
Double click index.html will open the index page on your default web browser.

How to generate Javadoc from a source JAR?

Running the command javadoc:

javadoc --ignore-source-errors -encoding UTF-8 -sourcepath "class-file-format-rule-2.0.0-sources.jar" -d "class-file-format-rule-2.0.0-javadoc" -subpackages
