Instead of manually creating the directory structure needed for an archetype, simply use:

mvn archetype:generate -DarchetypeGroupId=org.wildfly.archetype -DarchetypeArtifactId=wildfly-getting-started-archetype -DarchetypeVersion=30.0.0.Final
